Maamool is a sort of traditional cookies related to the celebration of religious feasts in the middle east . it is a feminine family oriented activity that all women and girls of
the family prepared together in a very intimate ritual .
the smell of this cookies could bring a flood of warm memories to anybody who experienced it, and it implicate many social aspects reflect their way of living and the continuum of a very old
tradition ( about 5000 years BC ) when the first version of this cookies was made to celebrate spring and the goddess of the sun in Egypt (and you can still notice how the shape of it imitates
the sun) .
in this work i made clay replication to present in a contemporary art style which focuses in the narrative and sharing stories.
